Dosages:
Adrenocortical insufficiency
Child: 17.5 mcg/kg PO qd or 500 mcg/m2 PO qd in 3-4 divided doses; or 17.5 mcg/kg/day or 500 mcg/m2/day IM in 3 divided doses q 3 day.

Adult: 0.6-7.2 mg PO qd, or up to 9 mg IM or IV qd.

Severe inflammation, immunosuppression
Adult: 0.6-7.2 mg PO qd.

Adult: 0.5-9 mg (Na phosphate) IM, IV or into joint or soft tissue qd.

Adult: 0.5-2 ml (Na phosphate and acetate) into joint or soft tissue q 1-2 wk prm.
