Interactions:

Cyclosporin

  • Adverse Effect: Nephrotoxicity  
  • #Clinical Management: Monitor for signs and symptoms of nephrotoxicity and administer the drug with caution.

    Gentamicin

  • Adverse Effect: nephrotoxicity  
  • Clinical Management: Renal function tests should be closely monitored.

    Metformin

  • Adverse Effect: an increased risk of lactic acidosis

    Succinyl Choline

  • Adverse Effect: potentiation of neuromuscular blockade  
  • Clinical Management: Titrate the dose of the Succinyl Choline carefully. Monitor patients not on a ventilator for respiratory paralysis.

    Tobramycin

  • Adverse Effect: nephrotoxicity  
  • Clinical Management: Renal function tests should be closely monitored.

    Warfarin

  • Adverse Effect: an increased risk of bleeding  
  • Clinical Management: In patients receiving oral anticoagulant therapy with warfarin, the prothrombin time ratio or international normalized ratio (INR) should be monitored with the addition and withdrawal of vancomycin to assess changes in the anticoagulant response. Warfarin dose should be adjusted
