Hydrocortisone
Adverse Effect: decreased pyridostigmine effectiveness Clinical Management: Initiation of concomitant therapy should take place under controlled conditions. The need for respiratory support should be anticipated. If corticosteroids are required, alternate day therapy may cause less interference.
Prednisolone

Succinyl Choline
Adverse Effect: increased neuromuscular blockade Clinical Management: Succinylcholine should generally be avoided during anesthesia in patients receiving cholinesterase inhibitors. The use of succinylcholine in these situations will lead to prolonged paralysis, which will require ventilation and supportive care until muscle function returns |
