| Oral: Nausea & Vomiting: 5-10mg, 5mg for Non-Psychotic Anxiety, 5-10mg in moderate Schizophrenia &10-20mg in severe conditions. Drug has to be administered 3-4 times daily.
Rectal dosage: 25mg twice daily.
I.M: For prevention of nausea & vomiting before surgery: 5-10 mg (1-2ml) if required repeat in every 3-4 hours. Max. dose should not exceed 40mg/day.
I.M: In very severe Schizophrenia: 10-20mg (2 to 4ml), repeat the initial dose every 2 - 4 hours (or, in resistant cases, every hour). After control is achieved, start with oral dosage at the same Conc. or even at a high Conc. If, in rare cases, parenteral therapy is needed for a prolonged period, give 10 - 20 mg (2 to 4 ml) every 4 - 6 hours.
IV: 2.5 -10mg(1/2-2ml) by slow IV injection or infusion administer at a rate of less than 5 mg /minute. Single dose not more than 10mg and Max. dose not to exceed 40mg/day. Injection has to be administered either undiluted or diluted in isotonic solution, same dosage in surgery before anesthesia.
Spansule capsules: 15mg in morning or 10mg twice daily. Do not administer more than 20mg/day or for more than 12 weeks |
