Fluoxetine
Adverse Effect: hypertension, diaphoresis, ataxia, flushing, nausea, dizziness, and anxiety Clinical Management: Until more data are available, concomitant use of fluoxetine and pentazocine should be undertaken with caution.
Sibutramine
Adverse Effect: Concomitant administration results in Serotonin syndrome, which is characterized by various fatal reactions # Clinical Management: Monitor for the adverse effects and institute supportive therapy. Avoid the concomitant use of these drugs as far as possible.
Thiopentone Sodium
Adverse Effect: CNS depression Clinical Management: Patients receiving sedatives, hypnotics or narcotic analgesics should be monitored closely if thiopental is given concurrently and consideration for reduction in dose of one or both drugs may be necessary. |
