Interactions: | Antacids Comb.Adverse Effect decreased levofloxacin effectivenessClinical Management If possible, administer a different antibiotic or alternative therapy to antacids, such as an H2 antagonist or proton pump inhibitor. If concomitant therapy is necessary administer the Levofloxacin at least two hours before or two hours after antacids.
Digoxin Clinical Management: No dosage adjustment is required when administering levofloxacin and digoxin concomitantly
Sucralfate Adverse Effect Decreased levofloxacin effectivenessClinical Management Administer levofloxacin at least two hours before or two hours after sucralfate.
TheophyllineClinical Management: Theophylline levels should be monitored in patients receiving levofloxacin and dose adjustments of theophylline should be made accordingly
Warfarin Clinical Management: Prothrombin times should be monitored when warfarin is coadministered with levofloxacin due to increased risk of warfarin-related reactions during administration with other quinolones
