Dosages:
  • PARENTRAL:INDUCTION: IV: 1-4.5mg/kg slowly over a period of 60 seconds.
  • OR
  • 1-2mg/kg given IV at 0.5mg/kg/min + Diazepam 2-5mg by separate I.V. inj over 60 seconds upto total of 15mg.
  • IM: 6.5-13mg/kg.
  • NOTE: Atropine (or another appropriate Antimuscarinic drug) & Diazepam (or another suitable Benzodiazepine) should be given prior to the Ketamine to avoid reactions.
