Antiarrhythmics, pimozide, thyroid drugs: May increase risk of arrhythmias and conduction defects. Monitor ECG closely.
Anticholinergics, atropine: Possible oversedation, paralytic ileus, visual changes, and severe con-stipation. Use together cautiously.
Barbiturates, haloperidol, phenothiazines: Decreased therapeutic efficacy. Avoid concomitant use.
Beta blockers, cimetidine, methylphenidate, propoxyphene: Increased plas-ma levels. Monitor child for toxicity.
Clonidine, guanabenz, guanadrel, guanethidine, methyldopa, reserpine: May decrease hypoten-sive effects of these drugs. Monitor child and blood pressure closely.
CNS depressants: Additive CNS effects. Avoid concomitant use.
Disulfiram: May cause delirium and tachycardia. Use with caution.
Metrizamide: Increased risk of seizures. Avoid concomitant use.
Sympathomimetics (ephedrine, epinephrine, phenylephrine, phenylpropanolamine): May increase blood pressure. Use with caution.
Wartarin: May prolong PT and cause bleeding. Monitor PT and INR closely.
Sun exposure: Increased risk of photosensitivi-ty reactions. Tell parents to take precautions. |
