Interactions:
Amphetamines, quinidine: May de-crease urinary excretion of these drugs. Monitor child.

Antihypertensives: Potentiated hypotensive ef-fects of these drugs. Use cautiously for thera-peutic advantage.

Cholestyramine, colestipol: May bind hydrochlo-rothiazide, preventing its absorption. Give drugs 1 hour apart.

Diazoxide: May potentiate hyperglycemic, hypo-tensive, and hyperuricemic effects of diazoxide. Use together cautiously.

Insulin, sultonylureas: May decrease effective-ness and increase requirements in diabetic children. Monitor serum glucose levels.

Lithium: Elevated serum lithium levels. May re-quire reduction in lithium dosage by 50%.

Sun exposure: Possible photosensitivity reac-tions. Tell child to take precautions.
