Amphetamine, quinidine: Makes urine slightly more alkaline and may decrease urinary excretion of some amines. Monitor pa-tient closely.
Cholestyramine / colestipol: Give 1 hour apart.
Diazoxide: Enhanced hyperglycemic, hypoten-sive, and hyperuricemic effects of diazoxide. Mon-itor patient closely.
Methenamine compounds such as methenamine mandelate: May decrease therapeutic efficacy of these drugs. Use together cautiously.
NSAIDs: Drug may increase risk of NSAID- induced renal failure. Use together cautiously.
Other antihypertensives: Enhanced hypotensive effects. Monitor patient closely. |
