| Mild nitrogen retention, metabolic acidosis & megaloblastosis can occur. Should be used with caution in patients with a history of gouty arthritis and renal stones. Periodic serum potassium determinations have to be done for the presence of hyperkalemia and to ensure proper functioning of kidney. |
