Dosages:
  • IV Infsn.:PANCREATIC CARCINOMA: 1000mg/m2 over 30min every 1 wk for upto 7 weeks, followed by 1 week rest. Prior to every dose monitor the Blood Counts:  
  • Absolute Granuclocyte Count (G) & Platelet Count (P):G>1000 & P > 100000:Use 100% (of the dose).  
  • G < 500-999 or P5000-99000:75% (of the dose).  
  • G <5 or P<5000:With-hold Rx. Subsequently, 4 weeks (3 weeks Rx + 1 week rest) cycles may be administered with 25% dose increments (eg. 1250 followed by 1500mg/m2 every 1week cycles) subject to patient tolerance.  
  • NON SMALL CELL LUNG CANCER:4 week cycles similar to the above.  
  • NOTE:Reconstitute Inj with > 5ml NS for the 200mg powder or with 25ml NS for the 1mg powder. Concentrations > 40mg/ml might hamper drug dissolution. Store the Sol at 15-30 C & use within 24 hour. The drug can be given in the OPD.
