Interactions: | Carbamazepine: May increase car-bamazepine blood levels and risk of toxicity. Monitor carbamazepine levels.
Clindamycin, lincomycin: May be antagonistic. Monitor child for drug effects.
Cyclosporine: May increase serum cyclosporine levels and increase risk of subsequent nephro-toxicity. Monitor renal function.
Digoxin: May cause increased serum digoxin levels. Monitor child for arrhythmias.
Disopyramide: May increase disopyramide plasma levels, resulting in arrhythmias and increased OT intervals. Monitor cardiac function.
Isotretinoin: May cause cumulative dryness, re-sulting in excessive skin irritation. Observe for skin changes.
Midazolam, triazolam: May increase effects of these drugs. Monitor child.
Oral anticoagulants: May cause excessive anti-coagulant effect. Monitor INR.
Theophylline: May cause increased serum theophylline levels and decreased erythromycin blood level. Monitor child for effect of ery, thromycin and observe for theophylline toxicity. |
