Drug-drug. Indomethacin, probenecid: May re-duce diuretic effect of bumetanide. Dont use to-gether; however, if there is no therapeutic alternative, an increased dose of bumetanlde may be needed.
Lithium: May reduce renal clearance of lithium and increase lithium levels. Monitor lithium lev-els; dosage adjustment may be needed.
Other potassium-depleting drugs such as amphotericin B, corticosteroids: May cause severe potassium loss. Monitor serum potassium levels.
Ototoxic or nephrotoxic drugs: May result in en-hanced toxicity. Use with caution. Potassium-sparing diuretics (amiloride, spirono-lactone, triamterene). May decrease bumetanide- induced potassium loss. Monitor potassium levels. |
