Acetaminophen: Causes elevated serum chloramphenicol level, possibly resulting in an enhanced pharmacologic effect. Use to-gether cautiously.
Chlorpropamide, cyclophosphamide, dicumarol, phenobarbital, phenytoin, tolbutamide:Inhibits hepatic metabolism of these drugs, causing pro-longed plasma half-life of these drugs and pos-sible toxicity from increased serum drug levels. Use together cautiously.
Folic acid, vitamin B: Reduces hema-tologic response to these substances. Use to-gether cautiously.
Penicillin: Concomitant use may antagonize peni-cillins bactericidal activity. Use with caution. |
