| Anticholinergics: May cause para-lytic ileus. Monitor closely. 
 Cimetidine, CNS depressants: Potentiated res-piratory and CNS depression, sedation, and hy-potensive effects of drug. Use together with ex-treme caution. Reduce meperidine dose.
 
 General anesthetics: Possible severe CV de-pression. Use together with extreme caution. Re-duce meperidine dose.
 
 Isoniazid: Meperidine can potentiate adverse ef-fects. Monitor child closely.
 
 MAO inhibitors: May precipitate unpredictable and occasionally fatal reactions, even in children who may receive MAO inhibitors within 14 days of receiving meperidine. Dont use together.
 
 Narcotic antagonists: Children physically depen-dent on drug may experience acute withdrawal syndrome if given a narcotic antagonist. Monitor child closely.
