Antacids Comb.

  • Adverse Effect: decreased lomefloxacin effectiveness
  • Clinical Management: Avoid concurrent oral administration, if possible, by choosing another antibiotic or an H2-receptor antagonist in place of the antacid. Consider discontinuing the antacid temporarily while Lomefloxacin is being used. If this combination is required, the quinolone should be given two hours before or four hours after antacid dosing.

    Sucralfate

  • Adverse Effect: decreased lomefloxacin effectiveness
  • Clinical Management: Concurrent administration of lomefloxacin and sucralfate is not recommended. If concurrent use cannot be avoided, lomefloxacin should be taken at least two hours before or four hours after sucralfate.
