Acne preparations (such as benzo)l peroxide, tretinoin): Cumulative irritant or drying effect. Use together cautiously.
Antidiarrheals (such as diphenoxylate, opiates): May prolong or worsen clindamycininduced di-arrhea by reducing excretion of bacterial toxins. Avoid concomitant use.
Erythromycin: May act as an antagonist, block-ing clindamycin from reaching its site of action. Monitor patient for drug effect.
Kaolin products: May reduce GI absorption of clindamycin. Give at separate times.
Neuromuscular blockers (such as pancuronium, tubocurarine): May potentiate action of these drugs. Use together cautiously. |
