Amphotericin B, capreomycin, cephalosporins, cisplatin, methoxytlurane, poly-myxin B vancomycin, other aminoglycosides: In-creased hazard of nephrotoxicity, ototoxicity, and neurotoxicity. Avoid concomitant use.
Bumetanide, ethacrynic acid, lurosemide, man-nitol, urea: Increased risk of ototoxicity. Avoid con-comitant use.
Dimenhydrinate, other antiemetics, other an-tivertigo drugs: May mask streptomycininduced ototoxicity. Use cautiously together.
General anesthetics, neuromuscular blockers (such as succinylcholine, tubocurarine):Potenti-ated neuromuscular blockade. Avoid concomi-tant use.
Penicillin: Synergistic bactericidal effect against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coil, Kleb-siella, Citrobacter, Enterobacter, Serratia, and Proteus mirabilis; however, drugs are physically and chemically incompatible and are inactivated when mixed or given together. Dont administer together. |
