Antihistamines, narcotics, sedative- hypnotics, tranquilizers, tricyclic antidepressants, other CNS depressants: Will add to or potentate their effects. Monitor patient closely.
LV furosemide: May cause a hypermetabolic state by displacing thyroid hormone from bind-ing sites, resulting in sweating, hot flashes, tachy-cardia, and variable blood pressure. Use togeth-er cautiously.
Oral anticoagulants: Possible increased hy-poprothrombinemic effects. Monitor PT.
Phenytoin: Possible increased elimination of phenytoin. Monitor serum phenytoin levels. |
