For Alcoholism: 50mg once daily for over 12 wks. Alcohol dependence can be treated only if the patient is willing to overcome alcoholism & is free of opioids for at least 7-10 days and has no severe kidney or liver problems.
For Opioid Dependence: Initial dose 25 mg, if no withdrawal signs occur start with 50mg from the successive day. Drug has to be given only if the patient has remained opioid-free for at least 7-10 days. |
