Dosages:
  • ACUTE ATTACK: 0.5mg every 3 min. till cessation of the pain or limiting side effects appear.  
  • PROPHYLAXIS: 0.5mg prior to activity. To be chewed and not swallowed as the drug is absorbed through the buccal mucosa.  
  • IV : Start with 5mcg/min and increase by 5mcg/min till desired effects .  
  • SR/CR: 2.5-6.5mg bid/tid.  
  • Ointment/Patch: 1.5-3.0 cm ribbon tid or as reqd.
