Routine revaccination of immunocompetent persons previously vaccinated is not recommended. Revaccination once is recommended for persons aged more than 2 years who are at highest risk for serious Pneumococcal infections and those likely to have a rapid decline in Pneumococcal antibody levels. Should be administered with utmost care in persons with compromised cardiovascular /pulmonary function, as a systemic reaction would pose a significant risk. Vaccine should be avoided in case of any febrile respiratory illness or other active infection |
